In reply to Elizabeth. I think having a list of morning to dos (or a list of photos/illustrations for younger ones) is helpful! And getting up early enough. When my children feel rushed mornings are a disaster!!

Love this! Our children at 2 & 4 are responsible for food and water for the dogs as well as clean up. My question is around any tips to help the morning routine? This is something we struggle with daily regardless of what time they go to bed. Thanks!

I love this…we do not give allowance for chores either.

So we have a payday where we pay our children an allowance. It is not tied to daily/weekly chores but we have the right to revoke their “pay” if we feel they haven’t been helping as expected. This is so great! So how do your kids earn money? Would love to implement the Spend-Save-Give jars, but if they aren’t getting paid for chores (that failed here), what are they doing for that?

This is so helpful. So empowering for our littles, and helpful for us! Have to remind myself that just because I can do it better/faster right now doesn’t mean it’s easier in the long run. And it robs my kids of things they can master and take pride in!
