So encouraging. I have a 30 weeker who is now 35 weeks in the NICU and we’re really trying to breast-feed. You were right there aren’t a lot of resources out there on this transition but I am determined. It is hard to say I would say more important is that you don’t want to them to get so tired they can’t eat fully the next time. I would say no more than thirty minutes.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I am struggling with the same issue, my Ellie girl was born at 34 weeks. I am curious as to how long a full feeding would be for a preemie? I know it can depend on the baby and mama, but what amount of time would you say is a full feeding in the breast?
